This summer, singer-songwriter Melis will release her new five-track EP, Parallels, and we've got the visuals for lead track "Love Song Idea". The video — which was produced and directed by Jake Ringsell and Robert Chamberlain — features film and TV actress Georgina Campbell, shot in close-up as she takes us on a journey from sadness, to joy, to somewhere in between.

The track itself is built around the former IYES songwriter's soulful, folk vocals. The idea behind the track is simple enough as well: don't be so hard on yourself all the time.

"The message of this video is that we're all struggling," says Melis. "We're all down and doubtful sometimes. Despite our pain and the problems we have to deal with, if you just take a step back for a second and look at yourself in the mirror, you will be able to find an unharmed strength and beauty. You will find the courage to accept yourself. To be proud of yourself — and to love yourself."
