With Lil Wayne's turmoil with Birdman is still preventing Tha Carter V from being released, it's definitely dope to see him in happier times. In this recently unearthed clip from LilWayneHQ, we get to see Lil Wayne spitting the entirety of "30 Minutes to New Orleans," culled from the sessions for The Carter documentary.

For those who don't remember this 2009 opus, the doc centered around Lil Wayne's Carter III release, from the lead-up to the dropping of the project to the success he experienced a little after. It got deep into his substance abuse issues, showed his daughter, and found Weezy getting tatted and rapping until the wee hours of the morning. While only one verse of "30 Minutes to New Orleans" was included in the movie, fans did finally get to hear the full song in 2010 thanks to Mack Maine's mixtape The Laxative.

There are some gems in this clip, primarily because Weezy was truly in the zone during this era. Check out the raw, uncut clip up above, and if you're truly about that Carter V action, you might want to send a prayer up to whoever handles that stuff for you in hopes of finally getting that project.
