Frank Ocean doesn’t mind keeping fans waiting. In addition to taking four years to release Blonde, his follow-up to the critically acclaimed Channel Orange, Ocean hasn’t seen the stage in quite some time—until Friday.
After canceling a handful of anticipated performances (Primavera, Sasquatch!, and Hangout), Ocean performed a headlining set on a rainy night at NorthSide Festival in Aaurhus, Denmark. This marks his first show since the summer of 2014.
Frank opened by playing a bunch of his new music: “Pretty Sweet” and “Solo” (Blonde) as well as “Chanel” and “Lens” (solo tracks that premiered on his Beats 1 Radio show blondedRADIO).
Ocean also set up a merchandise tent that featured new t-shirts.
