Mac Miller was scheduled to perform at two music festivals this weekend. He was slated to appear at the Sasquatch! Music Festival at the Gorge Amphitheater in George, Washington on Saturday along with other acts like Chance the Rapper, MGMT, and Phantogram as well as the Soundset 2017 festival at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds on the Midway in St. Paul, Minnesota on Sunday alongside Travis Scott, Lauryn Hill, Gucci Mane, T.I., and others.

But on Friday afternoon, seemingly in light of the tragedy that Miller’s girlfriend Ariana Grande was involved in earlier this week during a concert in Manchester, England, Miller announced he will no longer be performing at either festival. He released a short statement on Twitter:

Miller didn’t specifically say that he’s canceling his performances because of what took place with Grande. But it’s probably safe to assume that that is the reason he’s going to sit these two festivals out.

He is currently scheduled to spend time touring in Europe at the end of June and for most of July, but it's unclear if he still plans on doing that or not.

Complex has reached out to Miller’s camp for comment on the cancelation.
