The feud between Drake and Ludacris has been squashed for years, and Luda wants to make sure we're all aware of that.
During an acceptance speech at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards last weekend, Drizzy reminded the world that he and Luda werenât always on the best of terms. He gave a shout-out to the Atlanta artist and insisted there was no longer any bad blood.
âLudacris, we havenât always seen eye to eye, but Iâve always been a big fan of yours and I got a lot of love for you," he said to Luda, who was also hosting the awards show. "I want to let you know that face to face, while Iâm still here."
It seemed like Drake was officially calling a truce at the time; however, Luda claims the More Life rapper apologized prior to this yearâs BBMAs.
âEverything is good,â Luda recently told the New York Daily News. âWe had a conversation before he even did that.â
So how long before the show did Drake say âsorryâ? Was it hours? Days? Weeks? As we previously pointed out, Luda said he received an apology from Drake several years ago.
"Me and Drake are alright [âŠ] he had said some things in public, but then he apologized privately,â he said during a 2015 interview on The Breakfast Club. âI was like you have to apologize in public the same way you said it in public.â
It mightâve taken longer than expected, but it seems Luda finally got what he wanted last weekend.
Their feud is said to have started after Drakeâs 2010 AllHipHop interview, in which he seemingly criticized Luda for trying to pull off the âSupa Dupaâ rapping style.
âThen a bunch of rappers started doing it and using the most terrible references in the world,â he said. âI donât want to offend somebody. I hate that rappers picked that flow up. I wish they had left that for people that know how to use it. [The ones who say] Itâs a parade! MACYS!â
The two then exchanged additional shots through their music; however, their feud seemed to have died down in recent years. Now we know why.
