Fat Joe and His Closest Friends Profess Their Shared Love for the Knicks in the First Episode of Courtside Crews

Complex sat down courtside with Fat Joe at Madison Square Garden to talk with him and his crew about how the Knicks have impacted their friendship.

There are very few shared experiences in life that can build up a bromance like an identical love for a sports franchise. Look at any rabid fan base, be it in Dallas, Texas or a European soccer stadium, and tell us we're wrong. If the team is good, you can bond over your group jubilation. If the team's bad, you can bond over your utter misery (and, if you followed the Knicks at all this season, you know which of those two categories their fans fell into).

With that in mind, Complex and Bud Light partnered up to take Fat Joe and his friends: Daniel Castro, John Okeefe, and Pierre Jospitre, to sit courtside at Madison Square Garden so that the rapper, and native of NYC, could talk about the group's mutual love for the Knicks in the first episode of our new series, Courtside Crews.

In it Joe explains his humble beginnings from sitting in the nosebleeds (to now getting the celebrity shout-out on the Jumbotron), why sitting courtside at MSG is the "best ever," and why it's important to sport good footwear when you're sitting in full view of the cameras.

It's a lofty goal to get an MSG seat where you can hear the four-letter words Spike Lee's shouting at refs, or have Carmelo Anthony fall on you while diving for a loose ball. But, if you don't want to cough up the 10k, or try your best to infiltrate Fat Joe's squad, here's as good a look as any at what it's like to sit literal inches away from the action in the world's most famous arena.
