Zayn shared his new video for "Still Got Time" featuring Partynextdoor Friday. The video, directed by Calmatic (Kendrick Lamar), shows Zayn slowly making his way through the exact sort of party you wish someone would invite you to for once. In fact, the house party vibe of "Still Got Time" was Zayn's idea.
"I was asleep in L.A. when I got a call from Luti Media and Zayn's management at 7 a.m.," Calmatic, who filmed the video in London, said in a statement Friday. "They told me to hop on the next flight to London. It was my first time in London so I didn't know what to expect. When I got there we met at his crib and he said he wanted to throw the wildest house party imaginable. So we invited everyone we knew and let the cameras roll. The rest is history."
A fleet of new "Still Got Time" remixes also arrived Friday. Team Salut, Ray Blk, Vindata, Devi, and House Party all contributed their own spin on the first single from Zayn's forthcoming second album. A "Still Got Time" remixes EP can be streamed via Apple Music here.
Zayn's post-One Direction solo debut, last year's Mind of Mine, opened at the top of the Billboard 200 to critical acclaim. In his Complex cover story surrounding the album's release, Zayn talked about his standard for success. "I think about all aspects of the outcomes of what is going to happen with everything," he said. "I don't know if that's just something in me, or something that's natural with everybody. I tend to think about that. It does worry me sometimes, but all I can do is what I'm doing right now."
