Travis Scott grabbed the incomparable Mike Dean and his DJ Chase B for a performance of "Goosebumps" on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Wednesday. The Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight single, which recently got a BRTHR-directed video, apparently gave DeGeneres actual goosebumps:

Scott revealed how he and Kendrick Lamar—who missed out on the Ellen performance—linked up for the single in an interview with Billboard surrounding Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight's release. "I met him at the [MTV Video Music Awards] one year and he came up to me and was just like, 'Yo, man, I fuck with your music. It's super dope and inspirational,'" Scott recalled. "I was like, whoa, this is the best rapper in the globe—he fucks with my music! That's one of the things that made me want to keep working on my music and try to keep it going 'cause I'm not the most rappity rap ass n****. That's not me but I really love Kendrick's music."

In March, "Goosebumps" was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America:

Scott's next project is tentatively titled AstroWorld and has been described by the artist as possibly the best work of his career. "I have two records on the album that are like, man, they are the best," Scott told British GQ Style last month. "They tore down AstroWorld to build more apartment space. That's what it’s going to sound like, like taking an amusement park away from kids. We want it back. We want the building back."
