Today marks the release of rising label 0790Music's debut EP, +44(0790). The 4-track offering features riddims from SVMMO, Blakie (The Square) and Earbuds, and fuses the foundations of grime with the essence of the polyphonic ringtone. In an email to Complex, the label explained that "0790Music was born and bred in the streets of East London, so we wanted to factor that in to this project with undiluted grime flavours." The first beat, "Defeat Us", is grime to the core and a fitting intro to the tape. Next up is "Popping Candy", which, unlike its title, is far from sweet-sounding. The third instrumental, "Pattern", is heavy on the bass and drums and will have you dropping mad skanks for days. And "Dem Way Der" is a fitting end, evoking that nostalgic grime feeling with Eski-esque synths. Listen down below.
