Nottingham, and the Midlands in general, has birthed some of the most exciting grime and hip-hop in recent memory, and the region's output is only increasing. One of Nottingham's brightest lights is the larger-than-life Snowy, and he joins fellow Notts boys 0115 Mob (rappers Sollie, Blacko, Umaak and YiJay) for their new Ken Samson-produced single "Drowning". While Notts might be primarily known for grime, "Drowning" is a clear indicator of what the region's spitters are capable of in terms of woozy, spaced-out hip-hop. It also shows us a new side to Snowy, switching up his witty and playful flow for a slower, trappy beat. As UK hip-hop finds its own uniquely British voice, 0115 Mob are perfectly positioned to add their distinctly Nottingham brand of rap to the mix.
