Ah, SXSW. That magical time of year when crowds congregate all over Austin, Texas to sample the sights, the sounds, and the absolutely bonkers parties.

Last night, MTV’s semi-annual Woodie Awards crashed the festival, putting on appearances and performances from, according to the network, the most hyped artists on college campuses. This year, that list included Complex favorites Young M.A., Desiigner, Khalid, Lil Yachty and big baby D.R.A.M..

Hosted by MTVu’s Nessa and 106 & Park's Terrence J, and featuring celebrity host Rick Ross, the party at the Austin-American Statesman lot was the place to be on Thursday night; there was a 3-hour line stretching down the block to get to the show (or, for some, the free nourishment, and the inevitable swag giveaways).

While "Location" crooner Khalid took home the coveted Woodie to Watch award, the energetic and fake money-laced performance by Lil Yachty and D.R.A.M. was the show-stealing moment of the night. Replete with a live backing band, the pair stormed through medley of some of their biggest singles, starting off with D.R.A.M.’s Ray Charles-infused “Cash Machine,” before launching into the Lil Boat’s “1 Night,” and closing with their chart-crushing duet, “Broccoli.”
