Talk about a bawitdaba-d idea. If you thought that was a terrible joke, wait until you read the next sentence. Kid Rock is reportedly being mentioned as a potential candidate to try and take the Senate seat occupied by Michigan Democrat Debbie Stabenow next year.

According to Roll Call, Kid Rock's name was mentioned at a Republican Party convention in Michigan last weekend. So, if you're a fan of someone who once told Confederate flag protestors to "kiss my ass," and admitted that he preferred "skinny white chicks with big tits" over Beyoncé, then the 46-year-old rocker whose real name is Robert Ritchie is your guy! While those aforementioned comments from the washed-up musician should be enough to allow Stabenow to win by a landslide if the two were to hypothetically face one another, one look at who is currently in the White House should remind us all that anything is possible.

Back in 2012, Rock campaigned for Mitt Romney in that year's presidential election. However, before offering his full support towards Romney, Richie wanted to ask him a few questions because the singer wanted to make sure that Mitt wasn't "just a rich guy who wanted to become president to out-do [his] dad." Four years later, Rock was selling merchandise on his online store in support of some rich guy who became the 45th President of the United States, with shirts which read, “God, Guns & Trump.”

In a 2013 interview with Rolling Stone, Rock expanded on his Libertarian point-of-view, which swings more towards supporting Republicans. "Look, I tend to vote Republican, but I don't like the hardcore views on either side and I'm not in bed with anybody," he said. "I'd probably be more Libertarian, but I'm a firm believer you have to pick a side. I can't be playing the middle."
