An interview with Chief Keef for the site Local Savage offered insight into Chief Keef looking to delve into production and what to expect from his upcoming Two Zero One Seven project. According to Chief Keef himself, the key issue with the interview is that he never participated in it, and an impersonator offered a series of fake answers. Sosa called the interview, which has since been removed from Local Savage, “lame as fuck” while referencing it in an Instagram post.
“Fake interview Niggas went from Hitting bitches acting like me to doing interviews.... but the thing is Who ever is doing this Still sound lame as fuck!” Chief Keef wrote, captioning a screen capture of the Q&A. “If u gonna try to be me in a interview cut the dick riding and sound like a Chiraqean.”
The reportedly fake Q&A also covered linking up with Gucci Mane and Chief Keef's dealings with FilmOn founder Alki David. The interview initially gained traction, as Chief Keef has cut down on press opportunities in recent years. Prior to parting ways with Interscope in 2014, Chief Keef went to jail and reportedly relocated to the Los Angeles suburb of Woodland Hills. It’s unclear who gave the interview or presumably impersonated Chief Keef. Barring any last minute interviews, Keef will speak through his music when Two Zero One Seven is released on Jan. 1, 2017.
