Ab-Soul returns with his new album Do What Thou Wilt. The 16-track project includes features from Schoolboy Q, SZA, Mac Miller, Rapsody, Dash, Bas, and more. There hasn't been a ton of time to promote the project, as it was announced only a week ago, but Ab has done his best. He unleashed two singles in the past week, "D.R.U.G.S." and "Threatening Nature," and has been tweeting #DWTW for a minute now. The album also contains the previously released singles "Huey Knew THEN" and "Braille" with Bas.

Do What Thou Wilt is Ab-Soul's first album since 2014, when he dropped his tepidly-received These Days. It performed fine, but was seen as a creative disappointment after his popular project Control System. Although Ab has voiced frustration about the long delay between projects, TDE's CEO Top Dawg publicly called him out in November, claiming that the album was still not finished. It looks like the public spat might have been the motivation Soulo needed, as the album is finally finished and ready for fans to get their hands on.

The release of Do What Thou Wilt gets TDE closer to the stated goal of every artist on the label releasing an album in 2016. We've already seen Kendrick Lamar's untitled, unmastered., Schoolboy Q's Blank Face LP, Isaiah Rashad's The Sun's Tirade, and Lance Skiiwalker's Introverted Intuition. SZA's new album is also in the pipeline, although it's unlikely to drop until 2017.

You can purchase Ab-Soul's new album Do What Thou Wilt on iTunes now or stream it below via Spotify.
