Shift K3Y 'Nit3 Tales Pt. 2'

Two months ago, Shift K3Y launched a brand new project under the name Nit3 Tales through his own Sony imprint Thru The Nit3. The first volume saw him invite MJ Cole, Zinc, Ray Sargent and KStewart into his studio to work on an eclectic six-track release that, in his words, "is a soundtrack to my nightlife." Now, he's announced the second volume (out today) by giving us the exclusive stream of his collab with house heavyweight Chris Lorenzo, "Let Go".

"When I started the Nit3 Tales project, I came up with a collaboration wish list of producers that I respected most and played most in my DJ sets. Chris always brings a surprise element to every track and after sharing line-ups with him for so many times, I was excited to finally work together. We eventually found time to spend a solid two days in the studio up in Birmingham last summer. Neither of us had a specific idea of direction before we sat down, but we just caught a vibe on this beat straight away and 'Let Go' was born," Shift K3Y tells us over email.

Ultimately, the two EPs come together to form a full-length mixtape that will pull together his love of UK garage, house and bass music with help from some of his frequent collaborators and closest friends. Stream the full Nit3 Tales mixtape via SoundCloud.
