2016 was huge for Lil Uzi Vert. Within the past year, the Philadelphia rapper blew up thanks in large part to big-name collaborations, as well as multiple mixtape releases. And although he’s already considered one of hip-hop’s rising stars, it appears his next project will take him to new heights.

What does he have up his sleeve? Well on Saturday, the 22-year-old went to Twitter to announce an upcoming record called 1017 vs. The World. The title suggests that the ‘tape will be a collaborative effort with the one and only Gucci Mane, who has shown nothing but love for Lil Uzi Vert and other new-school rappers.

"I embrace anything that's new. If they come out and do the Stanky Leg, it's hard. If they come out and do snap music, it's hard. If they come out doing the Nae Nae, I like it," Guwop said during a Hot 97 interview with Funkmaster Flex. "At the end of the day, it's a different generation. And it's theirs, it's not mine. Instead of me judging it, I embrace it and support it."

Lil Uzi Vert didn’t give any details on the ‘tape, other than that it’s coming soon.

Stay tuned as more information about 1017 vs. The World is revealed.
