Tyler, the Creator may be one of hip-hop’s most offbeat, nonconforming figures, but even he isn’t immune to the power of Frank Ocean.

In a recent interview withGQ magazine, the Odd Future founder was asked to share his thoughts on Ocean’s long-awaited album Blonde. And, just like most of the population, Tyler couldn’t get enough of it.

“I liked it a lot. Like, it’s my favorite thing from him.” Tyler told GQ. “It’s weird because I’m friends with him and this album made me so, so, so much of a fanboy […] I low-key think he started getting annoyed cause I just kept badgering him about how much I liked the album. But I really, really fucking like it. And I’m really hyped for him and he’s hyped and shit’s great.”

But do you know what Tyler doesn’t think is great? The current state of fashion. In the interview, he explained to journalist Marc Anthony Green that he isn’t a fan of the way many people dress nowadays, insisting there’s too much similarity.

“I mean, everyone’s in, like, what? A torn tee of some band they don’t like. Some ripped jeans. A dad hat,” he said. “Everyone is wearing dumb tour tees right now. That shit is weird. You don’t even like that band. Why are you wearing that?”

His distaste for the ordinary was once again reflected in the Golf Wang Fall/Winter 2016 collection, which was revealed earlier this year during the brand’s first-ever fashion show.  It was there that Tyler debuted his Golf Le Fleur sneaker range, as well as his furniture designs.

Clearly, the 25-year-old isn’t content limiting his creativity to just rap; however, he still considers it his main outlet.

“I make music all the time, I listen to it 24/7,” he said. “Music is number one always.”
