Stormzy from south London—"man of the moment, man of the people" and the grime scene's crown prince—has become the first grime MC to grace the cover of esteemed British magazine i-D. As a part of the style publication's "Game-Changing Issue", i-D chronicles the star's trailblazing DIY movements across music, fashion, and art, declaring: "The internet has spurred the return to a DIY culture not seen since the '80s, enabling us all to make music/art/films from our bedroom and speak directly to our fans."

Speaking on his success story over the past two years, Stormzy was forthcoming in outlining his faith as a key component. He told i-D's Hattie Collins: "I always tell people it's God's plan. I say this as a normal man, I'm not a mad raving, religious crazy, I'm an intelligent yout, I've got a level-head. But this is God. You might think otherwise and that's cool because I understand that for some people it's hard to give glory to this God, or an idea of God."

Another week, another win for Stormzy, and this, coupled with the decision taken late last month to cancel all remaining shows and festivals for 2016, would point towards entry into full-lockdown-album-prep-mode. Will we have it before the year is out? Well, we can always hope.
