Maroon 5 and Kendrick Lamar might not be the likeliest pairing, but the Compton rapper nonetheless decided to lend his voice to the group's new single "Don't Wanna Know." The group will premiere the song's music video on NBC's Today this Friday, directed by David Dobkin, with a live performance on Ellen coming up on Nov. 3.

Technically this isn't the first collaboration between the two parties. Kendrick and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine appeared together on The Lonely Island song "YOLO" back in 2013, although this will be the first time he's worked with Maroon 5 as a whole. The band is currently in the midst of its headlining North American tour.
