There's almost nothing more incredible than seeing one of your favorite entertainers live and in person. And while there's something spectacular about catching the biggest names in rap and pop music putting on fantastic, over-the-top arena shows - we see you Drake, we see you Kanye - there's something really special about catching them in an intimate space.

Lady Gaga seems to believe that to be true, and is putting the theory to the test. This month, beginning on Wednesday, Oct. 5, Gaga is going to stage three shows in as yet-unnamed dive bars across the country where she'll perform songs from her upcoming album Joanne. The "Perfect Illusion" singer will stage another two shows on Oct. 20 and Oct. 27. "I love this dive bar tour so much, because I get to go perform these songs and really look my fans in the eyes when I'm singing to them and really try to have a more natural human experience," she said in a press release.

Gaga's new album titled Joanne is set to hit store shelves just after the second dive bar gig on Oct. 21. The album takes its name from the singer's aunt who died of lupus at the young age of 19. “What I know of Joanne is what she left behind, which was a lot of loss and a lot of tragedy in my family,” Gaga told Yahoo. " It was really Joanne, and that story of our family, and the toughness that made us who we are, that gave me the strength to go, ‘You know, I’m going to live the rest of my life in a way that she couldn’t.’"
