Camp Winnipesaukee is apparently a great place to rip through an impromptu, flashlight-assisted performance of classic '90s megahits. After previously tackling radio mainstays by Hootie and the Blowfish and Third Eye Blind, Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon returned to the summer camp vibes of the popular Winnipesaukee sketch for a take on Alanis Morissette's 1995 Jagged Little Pill cut "Ironic" on Wednesday's Tonight Show.
In addition to cracking each other up during that Alanis tribute, the frequently televised duo of Timberlake and Fallon subjected themselves to the seemingly horrendous Best Friends Challenge. According to insiders, this so-called "challenge" is designed to see just how much each alleged BFF knows about the other, usually (we assume) resulting in tears and prolonged bouts of sadness. Timberlake and Fallon, however, apparently know each other pretty damn well:
Timberlake, who will next be seen in something called Trolls, was also tasked with breaking down what exactly happened with that infamous voting booth selfie. As previously reported, the temporary word on the street was that Timberlake might have to do some time just for snapping the photo:
"I went back home to Tennessee and voted and no one even know," Timberlake said sarcastically. "So get out and vote but, um, don't take a picture of yourself in there." According to Timberlake, he had "no idea" the photo would cause legal speculation. "I was like, this is going to be great," Timberlake said. "Inspire people to vote. Then it was like womp, womp, womp."
Lesson learned.
