Just hours after it was revealed Friday that A$AP Rocky has become the creative director for MTV Labs, he premiered a new song from A$AP Yams’ upcoming compilation project, Cozy Tapes Vol. 1.

Before Rocky and the A$AP Mob were set to perform at MTV’s studio in Times Square, the Atlanta rapper Key!, who is featured on “Crazy Brazy” along with A$AP Twelvyy, shared a video of Rocky rapping some bars from song.

Rocky has been quietly working on his A.L.L.A. follow-up. He was recently seen in the studio with Lenny Kravtiz, though it is unknown if they worked on any songs together. Producer Jim Jonsin also shared some photos of him and Rocky from an L.A. session, which fueled chatter that Rocky was calling on collaborators for his as-yet-untitled third set. But Rocky being in album mode hasn’t stopped him for knocking out guest features—you can check out his take on Mura Masa’s “Love$ick” here.

Shortly after the passing of Yams in January of last year, Rocky announced that he was working on a posthumous project for the late head of the A$AP family, using notes Yams left behind to complete it. While the Cozy Tapes project hasn’t gotten an official release date yet, songs like “Yamborghini High” and “Hear Me” have been strong previews, and we can’t wait to hear more.

Watch Rocky's performance of “Crazy Brazy,” produced by Wavy Wallace, above. It starts at the 5:55 mark. Playboy Carti make a cameo. You can also hear the CDQ version below.
