After not releasing solo music since 2014, TDE's Ab-Soul linked up with Dash for "Huey Knew" and comes through today with the track's telling visuals.

Directed by Aplus, the stark black and white visual opens up on Ab-Soul who is sitting solo watching a glaring white TV as he raps the flipped Fresh Prince intro of the track. Soon enough, the fuzzy images sharpen and it becomes all too clear what Ab-Soul is watching on TV as the images of police brutality against black citizens fill up the screen with the shadow of the rapper looking on in the forefront. The evocative and emotional images pair perfectly with the inky instrumental that bluntly points out today's racial issues with the line, "Bucket of black paint in-front the white house."

Fans have been thirsting for new Ab-Soul who has had an especially quiet 2016. Fortunately, the rapper hit Twitter in June to alert fans that the tracklist for his new album had been turned in and TDE's CEO, Anthony Tiffith, confirmed the news in August that Ab-Soul had finished and handed in the final mixes of his next album.

Many have been speculating that "Huey Knew" is the first taste of the aforementioned album, but it's still unclear if the track is part of the project or just a one-off that Ab-Soul dropped to get us ready for what's next. Either way, we're here for it. Watch the video for "Huey Knew" above.
