Zayn Malik is working overtime. In addition to his music career and recently announced TV producing gig, the 23-year-old singer is stepping into the publishing world with the release of his first autobiography.

On Tuesday, Penguin Random House announced Malik will share his life story in an upcoming memoir aptly titled ZAYN. Texts, illustrations, and never-before-seen photographs are said to give readers a closer, more intimate look at Malik’s journey—chronicling everything from his childhood in England to his time with One Direction to his transition into a solo artist.

"I'm going to show you as much as I can so that you can judge me on my own terms,” Malik writes in the first few pages, “not on what the press or anyone else says."

In a Complex cover story earlier this year, Malik dished on the struggles he experienced as a member of One Direction, arguably the biggest boy band of all time. He spoke about his frustration as an artist and how it ultimately pushed him to go solo.

"That was something that was always underlying, and ended up as the main factor of me leaving in the end," he said. "It was about denying the authenticity of who I was, and what I enjoyed about music, and why I got into it. That was always there. It was one of the things that wasn’t going to go away, so I had to go away."

According to the Penguin Random House, ZAYN will be published on Nov. 1. The book can be pre-ordered on Amazon for $19.99.
