As expected, Young Thug’s Jeffery project did big numbers in its first week, landing at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 chart with 37,000 units earned.

According to Billboard, this marks Thugger’s third top 40 debut in 2016; Slime Season 3 was introduced to the chart in April at the No. 7 slot, and I’m Up debuted at No. 22 back in February. We should also note that out of the 37,000 units Jeffery moved, 18,000 were in traditional album sales; so, unfortunately, Thug was far from his initial goal of 100,000 copies sold. But hey, at least he made it into the top 10.

The No. 1 spot was taken by Barbra Streisand’s album Encore, which earned 149,000 equivalent album units. At No. 2 was Florida Georgia Line with Dig Your Roots (145,000 units), followed by Britney Spears’ Glory (111,000 units). Drake’s VIEWS album, which dominated the chart for a couple months, fell to the No. 4 spot, while Frank Ocean’s Blondedropped from No. 1 to No. 5, followed by the Suicide Squad soundtrack at No. 6.

Beyoncé’s much-talked-about VMA performance also put LEMONADE back on the top 10, moving from No. 13 last week to No. 7 this week; however, Rihanna, who was also a highlight of the VMAs, experienced a slip as her album ANTI dropped from No. 8 to No. 9.
