Puff Daddy is a multi-talented mogul who has achieved incomparable success, but he took time to remember how he got there when his Bad Boy Reunion Tour stopped in his alma mater's city of Washington D.C. this week. On stage, he pledged a $1 million donation to Howard University's School of Business for The Sean Combs Scholarship Fund to help shape a new generation of entrepreneurial students.

He attended the university for two years, but left before graduating. Fortunately, the university awarded Puff with an honorary doctorate in 2014. "I didn't graduate from Howard," he told the crowd. "I was blessed to get my honorary degree but that doesn’t tell the whole story. Because the only reason why I was able to chase my dreams was the empowerment that Howard gave me, the support that they gave me, the first two years."

"I was blessed to received a great education from Howard University—one of the best schools in the world—and it helped to fuel my success in business and life," Puff said in a press release. "This scholarship will make it possible for the next generation of leaders to pursue their dreams and achieve greatness."

Of course, Puff went on to commend the students at his alma mater by leaving them with some inspiring words that touched on their own ability as individuals. "When I delivered the commencement address at Howard, I asked the students 'Do you know how powerful you are?' I know that Howard students are intelligent, talented, passionate, and their hard work will shape the future."
