Chris Brown isn't taking his recent arrest for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon lightly. In a new interview with ABC, Brown said "I cannot wait until the truth comes to light about this incident... My character has been defaced. Who I am as a person, and my integrity." He thanked his fans for standing by him, saying "I'm glad that all my real supporters know me and know the truth."

Most interestingly, he also presented a text that he claims his accuser Baylee Curran sent to a friend the night of the incident. "This freak Chris Brown is kicking me out of his house because I called his friend's jewelry fake. I'm going to set him up and call the cops and say that he tried to shoot me. That will teach him a lesson. I'm going to set his ass up," the text reads. Curran told ABC that the text is fake, wondering why she would willingly give her phone to police if it contained such obviously incriminating evidence.

So far, it's not clear how things will end up, but the case has been full of twists and turns. After the multi-hour standoff outside Brown's home and his subsequent arrest, more details have muddied the case. Curran is wanted for questioning by the NYPD in connection to the theft of a purse, and her former roommate spoke out to Complex about Curran's untrustworthiness. For his part, Brown has been tied to multiple assault allegations over the years, including in a recent lawsuit from his former manager Mike G.
