Skrillex and his OWSLA artist Wiwek debuted their short film Still in the Cage Wednesday at the Theatre at Ace Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, and now the full film is available to watch online. The short film depicts a group of friends desperate to escape their impoverished, busy lives in Bangkok, Thailand for a mystical place out in the jungle. Songs from Wiwek's recently released EP The Free and Rebellious soundtrack the film, which is written and directed by Canadian filmmaker Jodeb. The film is dark and surreal, but ultimately a fascinating watch and a bold decision to release as essentially a long-form music video.

Skrillex will be performing on night one of Complex's upcoming event ComplexCon in Long Beach, Calif. The music and culture festival will also feature performances from Travi$ Scott, Kid Cudi, and Virgil Abloh, as well as food, fashion, shopping and much more. Night two performances, as well as a ton of other awesome announcements, are on the way soon.

Skrillex has been a busy man recently. He contributed the song "Purple Lamborghini" to the Suicide Squad soundtrack alongside Rick Ross, and also linked up with M.I.A. for her AIM single "Go Off." Now he's also dipping his toe into the short film world as well as heading his OWSLA label and touring all over the place.

You can watch Skrillex and Wiwek's Still in the Cage film above, and head over to the ComplexCon website to find out more about the event and Skrillex's exclusive performance.
