Vic Mensa and Joey Purp "773 Freestyle"

Chicago's own Vic Mensa and Joey Purp decided the SaveMoney summer wasn't over yet as the two heat things up on their new collaboration "773 Freestyle."

The rappers pay homage to their city with bars you may recognize from their epic run on Sway in the Morning where the pair astounded everyone by capping the whole thing off with a coordinated duet. They got Papi Beatz to handle the production with an additional assist from Jake Osmun on "773 Freestyle" to amp up the energy and provide a cohesive beat of blaring horns and a cinematic backdrop.

The last verse still finds them going line for line, rattling off Chicago references while still noting that the city's murder rate is "higher than Dr. J's socks."

It's been a great few months for each of the SaveMoney artists. Vic is fresh off a politically charged and wildly successful Lollapalooza set, recently dropped his new EP, There's Alot Going On, and is already focusing on his debut album Traffic. Meanwhile, Purp dropped his mixtape iiiDrops to acclaim as he aimed to deconstruct the media's one-dimensional portrayal of Chicago's roughest issues.

"SaveMoney summer ain't over," Vic tweeted. We're definitely down with these guys providing us with an official way to stream their freestyle, especially with a beat that makes it go even harder. Check it out below.
