Sean Kingston might want to give up wearing jewelry for a while.

While partying at L.A.’s Penthouse Nightclub last week, the 26-year-old singer was assaulted by two men who also jacked his $300,000 gold chain right off his neck. A police report sayst Kingston and the two attackers had left the scene before law enforcement arrived. But that wasn’t the end of the episode.

TMZ reported Kingston has filed a lawsuit against the nightclub, insisting they helped orchestrate the assault and robbery. In the lawsuit, he claims he was in a VIP section when a security guard informed him that another VIP guest wanted to speak. Kingston says that when he went to talk to the guest, he was cornered by the two men who punched him, hit him with a Champagne bottle, and strong-armed his chain. Kingston is now seeking more than $900,000 from the club, according to TMZ.

This isn’t the first time the singer has had accessories-related problems. Back in November 2015, Kingston claimed he was kidnapped by representatives of Avianne Jewelers after he neglected to pay for a watch in full. Obviously, Kingston came out of these instances alive, which is a good thing, but he might want to reconsider his love for pricey jewelry.

Stay tuned to see how the rest of the story unfolds.
