A little while ago, Riko Dan took to Twitter to ask fans if they'd like to hear him lace a UKG beat. The responses came in thick and fast and soon it was just a question of which beat Riko should tackle. Fans had four options to choose from in the poll he set up: Groove Chronicles' "Stone Cold", Jameson's "Urban Hero", Sticky's "Triplets" and of course Zinc's "138 Trek". The latter obviously won out and then, just over a month later, we've been gifted "E3 Trek", the meeting between Riko's gruff, ragga-infused flow and the chugging UKG bounce of the original. While a lot of people are doing some pretty cool things with R&G, it might be worth a few producers looking in Riko's direction for grime's next progression.
