During the VH1 Hip Hop Honors on Monday night, honoree Lil Kim performed the classic Junior M.A.F.I.A. anthem "Get Money." To rap Biggie's verse, she brought out Rich Homie Quan.

The Atlanta rapper stepped out onstage, mumbled a few words, and then proceeded to awkwardly ad-lib his way through the rest of his stage time. You can see the full fiasco here, starting at the 1:30 mark.

Lil Cease took to Instagram to comment on the performance, but did say that Rich Homie was still his guy.

Twitter immediately went into a frenzy, with some people questioning why Quan was even chosen in the first place.

Others simply could not believe what they had seen.

Some tried to imagine how the Bad Boy team would have reacted.

And more practical-minded viewers wondered why Quan simply didn't rehearse more.
