Man Arrested for Slapping Justin Timberlake at a Golf Tournament

A man was reportedly arrested after slapping Justin Timberlake at the 2016 ACC golf tournament on Saturday.

The 2016 ACC golf tournament wasn’t all laughs and "Carlton Dances" for Justin Timberlake. Apparently, the 35-year-old singer took a slap to the face while walking through a crowd of spectators on Saturday.

In a video posted by TMZ, Timberlake is shown making his way through the mass of people when all of a sudden a hand reaches out and touches his mug. A visibly disturbed Timberlake looks back at the man and shouts "Why would you do that?" Immediately after, security approached the man about the matter. Tournament reps reportedly considered it a "minor incident," as the "slap" wasn’t severe enough to make Timberlake press charges. But that didn't stop some people from exaggerating the hell out of the occurrence:

It seemed the incident could’ve easily ended there, but when Sheriff's deputies attempted to escort the man off the premises, things quickly escalated. Police sources told TMZ that the man seemed to be an overzealous fan who claimed he just wanted to "touch" the singer. Sources also say the man appeared to be intoxicated and was eventually arrested after he refused to leave the premises. He now faces charges of disorderly conduct.

You can check out the incident in the video above.
