It was the reunion that most thought would never happen, but for the first time in 23 years Guns N' Roses performed a show with Axl Rose on vocals and Slash on lead guitar. The gig, which took place at the intimate Troubadour in Los Angeles, was only announced very early in the day yesterday leaving many to wonder if it was but an April Fool's prank. When it turned out to in fact be real, hundreds of fans lined up to score one of the precious few hundred tickets that were made available.

From all accounts, the concert itself went off without a hitch and found the band performing an expansive 17-song set comprised mostly of hits and beloved favorites from the band's initial run in the later 1980s and early 1990s. The show went down on the same day that the band announced its 20-date 'Not In This Lifetime' tour that kicks off in Detroit on June 23rd, and just two weeks before the its headliner set at this year's Coachella.

Cell phones were supposed to be taken up at the door, but fortunately, a few people were able to sneak in either their device or a camera and take some pictures and record bits of the show. Check out some of the footage below.
