Brooklyn rapper Your Old Droog has grown into his own as an artist, and that's been evident on his latest releases. He brought everyone's least-favorite tourist trap Time Square to life in the video for "42 (Forty Deuce)," and paid homage to the classic NYC-set sitcom Seinfeld in the song "Seinfeld & Basketball." In each of these, Droog managed to spin a detailed and captivating rap narrative that showcased his storytelling skills.

Now, he's managed to put these same skills to work on his new song "Hip-Hop Head," produced by Alchemist. He tells a story of meeting a girl at an A-Trak, Plain Pat, and A$AP Rocky show after tuning into his "scuzzbucket radar." The pair hit it off on the dance floor, jamming to the famous DJs' sets. Eventually, they're bonding over their mutual love of old-school New York rappers and getting down and dirty back at his apartment. The end of the song brings an unfortunate surprise for Droog, but it nonetheless sounds like quite the experience. Overall, the track is the perfect showcase for the rapper's unique knack for continuous narratives.
