Life is hard out here for a T-Pain fan. The Auto-Tune pioneer and hitmaker announced his fifth album, titled Stoicville: the Phoenix, all the way back in 2013 when he released the song "Up Down (Do This All Day)" with DJ Mustard and B.o.B. In the ensuing three years, the album never showed up. He has dropped a number of track since then, and even the popular mixtape The Iron Way last summer, but the album has yet to materialize. The most recent missed deadline was Dec. 11 of last year, and since then there's been no word about when Stoicville: the Phoenix would officially arrive.

Nonetheless, T-Pain is back today with his new song "Hundred Mo Dollas," and its a fantastic reminder of why we love him. Co-produced by T-Pain and DJ Spinz, the song is a classic slow jam. It's a slow burner, but as things ratchet up towards the chorus, Pain really hits his stride. "I just came from the club and I ain't never seen shit like this," he remarks, before encouraging his female companion to keep it up. It's all classic T-Pain, and it gives us hope that his new album could finally be on its way. In a positive sign of things to come, he even hit the studio recently with Metro BoominMissy Elliot, and Dej Loaf
