Even though Deadmau5 is one of the co-owners of Tidal, it hasn’t stopped him from partnering up with Apple Music. In a recent announcement this week, the EDM artist will be joining Beats 1 with his own radio show called ‘mau5trap presents…’ The debut episode is live right now.
In Apple Music’s description, Deadmau5’s first episode will feature him delving deep into his music collection, handpicking songs from the likes of Apex Twin and James Holden that have affected his life personally. It’s a two-hour show that sets up listeners for DJ Khaled’s We the Best Radio, which tonight’s episode will be a mix of “Passion, Pain & Success.”
It seems to be perfect timing for Deadmau5 (or Dead Mow Cinco?) since he was just in a heated Twitter battle with Kanye West. Deadmau5 called out ‘Ye for using torrent sites that incited quite a response from the rapper. You can read how he clapped back here.
