Kanye West, the National, and More to Appear On the Global Citizen Project Compilation Album

The album is set to come out this fall.

The Global Citizen Project, which held their annual festival in New York City last year, are planning to release a special compilation album led by Mumford & Sons' Ben Lovett and Global Citizen co-founder Hugh Evans in the fall. The album, which is titled Metamorphoses, will include 12 brand new songs that will feature lyrics from people around the world. As of nowKanye Westthe National, and Ellie Goulding are all slated to appear on the project, while more artists will be announced going forward.

All lyric submissions must be submitted for the project by March 31, and they can be turned in via the Global Citizen website here. "Global Citizen is doing very important, pro-social work and we are honored to be able to contribute to it," the National's Aaron Dessner said in a press release. The goal of the Global Citizen project is to fight and eliminate extreme poverty across the world by 2030.
