DJDS, formerly known as DJ Dodger Stadium, have sampled a lot of songs on their 2016 album, Stand Up and Speak. If you remember, the electronic duo and Kanye West collaborators sampled Charlie Wilson's own vocals from an old track on the song, "You Don't Have to Be Alone." Today, members Jerome LOL and Samo Sound Boy come through with a surprising new version of that same song featuring Charlie Wilson himself. “When making our song ‘You Don’t Have To Be Alone' we sampled the voice of Charlie Wilson from a record he did in 2005," the duo explain on SoundCloud.

"What by every law of music industry bureaucracy should have ended up as a sample clearing nightmare, somehow then turned into a dream collaboration for us. We owe that to the man himself who heard the song and thought we could expand on it together. We got together in the studio in Los Angeles, wrote and recorded new vocals, and created a new version of the song. You can hear it now. Thank you Charlie.” The new version turns up the original's inspirational power ten fold with soaring new vocals that are fated to lift you up.

If you're not familiar, DJDS made a name for themselves by producing several tracks on Kanye's The Life of Pablo, including "Low Lights." They even served up a fantastic remix of Rihanna's chart-topping hit "Work" earlier this month.
