ZAYN's debut solo single "Pillowtalk" is officially a hit, debuting at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The victory follows last week's prediction that the single was on track to surpass over 250,000 downloads in its first week of sales. The song surpassed that mark with 267,000 downloads sold and over 20 million streams, which makes it both the No. 1 selling song and No. 1 streamed. To date, the song's video co-starring girlfriend Gigi Hadid has racked up over 60 million views worldwide. ZAYN also becomes the first artist since Baauer to debut at No. 1 with a debut single. Baauer did it in 2013 with "Harlem Shake." It's a huge win for the singer who is gearing up to release his debut album, Mind of Mine, this March. His former group One Direction has never had a No. 1 on the Hot 100, but has peaked at No. 2. ZAYN is also the first member of a boy band to go solo and have a No. 1 hit since Beatles legend George Harrison.

On the rest of the chart, Rihanna and Drake are both on the rise. Rihanna's Drizzy collaboration "Work" rises two spots from last week to No. 7, which could be a result of her album being more widely available. With 215,000 downloads sold, Drake's "Summer Sixteen" debuts at No. 6, becoming his best sales week as a lead artist ever.
