St. Vincent, TDE's Sounwave, and Terrace Martin are the dream team we never realized we wanted. The three have linked up for a cover of the Rolling Stones' classic "Emotional Rescue" as part of the soundtrack for the upcoming Luca Guadagnino film, A Bigger Splash. The groovy cover receives a heavy dose of saxophone courtesy of Martin, while Kendrick Lamar collaborator Sounwave serves as the track's producer.

The story behind how this came together is just as great as the actual product. “I saw an 11 AM showing of 'i am love' at the sunshine cinema on houston street. i walked out of the theater in a daze, wandered into a nearby church, found the last pew, and wept for an hour," St. Vincent said. "So when luca asked me to be involved in his latest film, i said yes a thousand times and then once more. luca, tilda fucking swinton, ralph, matthias, dakota—all made a beautiful film. so proud to have worked with sounwave(!!!) and terrace martin(!!!) on this stones track. they are a dream team. hope you enjoy. xx.” Listen to the cover above. A Bigger Splash will arrive in the U.S. in May.
