Premiere: Isaac Danquah Drops Surprise Project 'B4THESTRM'

Nu-LDN.

London-based rapper/model Isaac Danquah has been fairly quiet on the releases front of late. But today, that is all about to change. Following some very recent back-and-forth with the law, Danquah is in a contemplative mood and delivers the aptly-titled B4THESTRM as a surprise release for fans. Across the three-track project, which features verses from PBGR and AirBorn Gav, Isaac spills over life's ills under some hazy, 808s-heavy production from Ezr0 Marei and Lexi Banks. For him, creating this set was like a therapy session in and of itself.

"My music is like a painting that is constantly evolving," he explains, "and I wanted to document a side which isn't new to me, but maybe new for many. I wanted to capture my surroundings, my everyday environment, and I feel like you can sometimes afford to be meticulous in approach, but it's also good to diversify the energies too. You have to be ignorant with your art." The rhymer adds that B4THESTRM is "a prequel of many more things to come this year." Stream it now exclusively below.
