Over the weekend, Grammy host, LL Cool J, hinted that Kendrick Lamar had something controversial in store for his performance. Well, LL wasn't lying as Kendrick just stole the show at the Awards with a powerful performance of "The Blacker the Berry" and "Alright" that featured the MC rapping in front of a giant bonfire. Not only that, but Kendrick was on stage in a jail suit and chains with full jail cells of men behind him. Kendrick finished up his set with an absolutely stunning performance of yet another new song, which is now "Untitled 3." Kendrick performed his last two "Untitled" songs during late-night appearances with Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon

With the weight of emotions and the messages brought with Kendrick's To Pimp a Butterfly album, this type of stirring and emotional performance is not shocking in the least bit, and further backs up that Kendrick is leading the charge when it comes to hip-hop and social issues. Kendrick has already won five awards tonight, and is up for "Album of the Year" later on tonight. Check out all the winners for tonight here
