The Top Dawg Entertainment mainstay most recently garnered praise for his 2015 album, 90059, which featured appearances from fellow TDE members like Kendrick LamarScHoolboy QSZA, and Isaiah Rashad, as well as famous Brooklyn rapper Busta Rhymes. He also made a well-respected appearance on Lamar's good kid, m.A.A.d. city on the track "Money Trees."

It's tragic news for what should have been an exciting night for TDE, as Lamar delivered a blockbuster performance at the Grammys and took home a number of awards.

So far, there's been no official statement from Jay Rock or any other TDE members, aside from Top Dawg's tweets above.

Several artists tweeted their prayers for the California rapper.
