Coming off a pretty fire Super Bowl halftime performance featuring starring Beyoncé, Coldplay's Chris Martin graces the new cover of Rolling Stone. In the interview, Martin reveals that "Hymn for the Weekend" actually isn't his first attempt at collaborating with Queen Bey. Martin says he once played a song called "Hook Up" for her and producer Stargate in the studio. However, she was not feeling the song at all and let him know. "[In] the sweetest possible way: She told me, 'I really like you – but this is awful.'" He obviously took her criticism to heart because we never heard a song by that title from the British band. Clearly, Bey knows best. Check out the song the two artists actually did end up collaborating on by watching the recently released video for "Hymn for the Weekend," and look out for Martin's full Rolling Stone cover story to arrive this Friday, Feb. 12.
