UPDATE 1/18/2016 9:26 AM: Sauce Walka deleted his Instagram posts, but co-signed this story. He's still sticking to his argument. Check it out below.

See below for the original story published on 1/17/16.

Sauce Walka, who is one half of the Sauce Twinz, is very proud of being from Houston and reps his city. He’s not afraid to call out rappers who might be misappropriating H-Town’s influence—like that time he spoke his mind about Drake’s Houston Appreciation Weekend.

These latest series of Instagram posts might have come from Future’s Purple Reign mixtape he dropped this morning. He posted “Drippin” off the tape with the caption "#ButIBeTrippin!?!?!?" To clarify, Sauce Walka’s featured on fellow Houston native Smoov Da Crim’s “Drippin.”

From there, he gave a history lesson on where the origins of H-Town's swag came from.

Sauce Walka defended his own style, claiming he never uses anyone else’s lingo or ad-libs to call his own. “Ni**as never heard me say crunk, pounds of midget—none of that shit,” he says. “Rappers rapping about syrup, purple rain, purple this. Purple sky, dirty Sprite. Lean, lean. Codeine. Slabs. Pimpin’. But I’m trippin, though!”

Did he call out Migos and Future? That's up for debate. Although he shrugs off the idea of burning bridges with anyone, he gives his final thoughts: “If Houston, Texas wasn’t Houston, Texas and didn’t have all the things about it that the world love, what would your favorite rapper rap about?”
