Pinch And Riko Serve Up Some Rugged UKG On "Screamer"

The more these two work together, the better.

Wonderful things happen when Bristol bass monster Pinch and Riko Dan put their heads together. Their collaboration with Mumdance, "Big Slug", was a gruff, industrial take on dub and dancehall—and new track "Screamer" (out Jan. 29 via Tectonic) hits just as hard. A sawtoothed bass line snarls throughout, quickened with a punchy UKG beat and Riko's speedball bars, and it's everything you'd want from a Pinch and Riko tune.

Pitch told i-D:

"In it's first incarnation Screamer was originally prepared as dubplate ammunition for my involvement at the Bristol leg of the Red Bull Sound Clash in '14, and ultimately contributed to Subloaded winning the trophy. Riko's vocal is, as always, meticulously on point, thoroughly dangerous throughout and perfectly matches the industrial 4/4 garage rhythm I made. The track has been a solid staple in my DJ sets ever since and I'm really pleased to be able to share it now, it's a certified banger."
