Many Motörhead fans were devastated by the passing of Lemmy Kilmister in late December. Now, the official cause of his death has been revealed. According to a report by TMZ, Kilmister died of a combination of prostate cancer and congestive heart failure.

His recent health problems were widely reported, causing him to cut back on his famously unhealthy lifestyle in recent years. Unfortunately, Kilmister could not overcome these issues, and he passed away on Dec. 28 of last year at the age of 70. Following his death, drummer Mikkey Deeconfirmed that the band would be breaking up permanently, citing the loss of their core member. R.I.P to a music legend.
