Kanye West's "audition" tape was easily the most exciting to happen on American Idol in years, and now we know how it all came together. After the episode aired on TV last night, Ryan Seacrest broke down on Twitter just how 'Ye ended up on the show. Seacrest explained that Kanye and Kim Kardashian happened to be in the area while they were filming in San Francisco and wanted to stop by the shoot. Kanye eventually agreed to go on camera for the segment and the rest was history.
Not everyone was a fan of last night's premiere though, as former American Idol participant Clay Aiken bashed the show on Twitter and said that Simon Cowell was the real reason people watched. We're pretty sure Kanye didn't hurt their ratings last night.
