Rustie is taking a break from social media and performing live due to addiction and mental health problems.

The Scottish producer, whose real name is Russell Whyte, just released an album this year called EVENIFUDONTBELIEVE. The announcement of his hiatus is a bit of a surprise to fans, but he shared his reasoning on Twitter yesterday.

Due to addiction & mental health problems, all gigs in the near future are cancelled. Very very sorry & hope to see u all soon 💗

Rustie added he won't be interacting with his fans on social media until further notice.

Also won't be posting or responding on social media personally for a while. Any posts will come from management.

Rustie is signed to Warp Records, where he's on a roster that includes Aphex Twin and Hudson Mohawke. Upcoming live shows that'll be affected by his announcement are Holy Ship 2016 in Miami, which runs from January 3, 2016 to January 6, 2016. He also had a New Year's Eve gig in California.
